Support for Resisters in the Military

Each year, thousands of soldiers resist the military in a variety of ways. For most, this means fighting to improve their daily lives: seeking medical care, getting time off to take care of family emergencies, going AWOL, or seeking a discharge from the military.

Many servicemembers are taking this a step further and working to change the military on a broader scale. Each servicemember's reasons for doing this and goal they're working towards are slightly different. For some, it's a matter of ending an unjust and illegal war in Iraq. For others, it's making sure everyone in their unit receives proper medical treatment before deploying.

Whatever the situation is, SDMCC puts a special emphasis on supporting servicemembers who are resisting the military. We do this by:

All of this is done with the servicemember calling the shots. If you are considering resisting the military from within, please contact us if you need assistance or have questions. Past servicemembers SDMCC has actively supported at the servicemember's request include:

as well as countless others who's resistance has not been as public.
